This is the result of my impatience. I decided not to wait until this model is available in my country but wanted to feel that thrill which was so common a few years ago when the WNW kits were flying from New Zealand. I have paid much more than will be called when buyimg the model here - including delivery, VAT, etc. But I do not regret.
So I have my Gotha for almost one month now. And I have taken its huge box with me for holidays - I spent several afternoons and evenings cleaning the parts from a lot of flash and traces of mould halves misplacement - yes, I insist the quality of WNW manufacture decreased recently. But even so, when you spend some more time with sanding paper, files and scalpel, what emerges from this work is still the top quality kit elements with excellent fit.
I managed to clean all the parts and put them thematically into separate string-bags.

I have also done some basic assembly, too (like the uper wings root bits, which required care with the seam lines, unfortunately I had to remove one stitch line over the rib - will have to remake it later)

And when back home I could start with proper assembly. I decided to start with Benz Bz.III engines where I added electric wires and valve push rods as I plan to build my model with side engine covers off.

Here the engines are tentatively put on the bearers and test fitted with nacelles to the lower wing centre section. The last added items will be the fuel lines but I will do it only after setting the engines on the bearers for good. And of course this shiny look will be spoilt significantly with dirt.

Also some substantial filling and sanding was necessary with late style exhausts - now after a primer coat it seems they are ready for final colouring and assembly.
