Engine blocks completed and ready to be installed (front cowlings just put on, they can be attached for good only when the blocks are attached to the wings - this will happen much later, the wings still require cleaning the seams in the joints, drilling the holes for rigging and painting)

With this the turn was to the fuselage interior. This is not too busy and pretty much out-of-the-box with the exception for the control lines and the small (oil?) pump which I lost in cutting off the truss side and had to rebuild it from some spare parts.

All this is already buried in the front fuselage, where the fit is not too nice and lots of filling required - the proofs will come soon with the next photo session.

Gorgeous and clean interior work as always Przemo! I have seen one of these completed and several under construction on FB. It seems there are some issues not usually encountered with WNW kits like Misaligned molds for some parts and now your fit issue  :(

Completely agree with Rick - that interior could pass for the real thing. Such lovely realistic colours and metallic finishes.

Thank you, everyone.

Work is going on.

The gunners armament is prepared for painting

The ordnance required some care on the joints. This included the bombs and the central fairing. Here the WNW plan to install the bombs and then join the fairing halves would cause problems with sanding the seams and maskig for airbrush. So I cut half-open the mounting holes to u-shape which will allow me to slide the bombs load after painting and I could so prepare the fairing.

Two main 50kg bombs are also designed in a weird way. The racks have some bits which are bomb parts and vice versa. I am still contemplating how to simplify the painting process - this would require some cutting...

The u/c assembly is supposed to jump into the holes in the wing with some side tabs which do not ensure tight fit - another sanding/painting problem. I followed what Gary showed on FB and cut the side fragments of the tabs, glued them into place, filled and sanded and this left me with slots for the remainder of the tabs.

And finally for this update - the fuselage. It is now basically assembled, with the cockpit innards buried inside. As mentioned earlier the fit was very tight and I actually did not manage to get rid of the slots. They were filled (visible as dark lines -the CA glue), sanded and will be tested with some primer later. The upper cowling and the fuselage rear also had their seams treated likewise. Some small final touch-ups will be necessary, still.

As always you work is just incredible. Lots of good tips here too for those taking on this complicated model. I won't be one of them but I'm sure they'll be appreciated by those that are.

Cheers

Very nice interior Przemol.  It seems you are encountering some less than standard WNW fit issues but are resolving them.
