Thank you my friends for this premature praise! I hope I will be able to fullfil your high expectations
Air screwAfter the huge Brisfit project is finished I can move over here to really start the group build.
At fist as usual some reseach, so I will use:
- the
manual of the kit- The Fokker D.VII Anthology 1

- The Fokker D.VII Anthology 2, mostly about OAW built D.VII

- The Fokker D.VII Anthology 3, this one contains the known picture of the Leusch Fokker.

Source of Anthology pics: windsockdatafilespecials.co.uk
- and even if in big scale the manual of WNW:

Then is was clear, that I need a air screw of the
Niendorf brothers from
Luckenwalde.
So I cutted and thinned down some strips of veneer, glued together:

After sanding a raw air screw, still a bit thick:

More final form:

And the back side:

First layer of primer:

Primed and polished:

Airbrushed with MRP Clear Red-Brown, after that Gunze Clear Yellow and Orange:

I'm not sure about the final color, so I wait for the aircraft. May be a bit darker, and a logo will be added too, followed by a layer of clear coat.
What do you think about it?
Cheers
