Wonderful attention to detail, and being deeply involved in making decals myself I can appreciate what you're going through!

Thank you !!!

After a week of reflection (and above all hesitation) and tests to find the colors that could suit my G-4, here are the results. Obviously they are totally subjective and probably false.

I tried a lot...
I even tried, to see, white and canvas color with a yellowish varnish on top (on the fin in the photo).

Finally it will be:

For the nacelle: 20 white drops, 1 dark yellow xf60, 1 yellow xf3
For the hood: 25 drops white, 1 buff xf57, 1 yellow xf3

On my PC screen the colors are less yellow than in reality

I chose to redo the tank caps which are on the nacelles to be able to paint the faces where the masts are attached before gluing the half nacelles.

I didn't want to have to paint the mats after the yellow painting or protect each mat before yellow painting.

The printing is a little clumsy on the large piece (I don't know what this piece is in real life) but it goes away after Surfacer and painting.

The copper color is just a brushstroke of brown ink on Alclad brass paint.

Well...clearly it was a very bad idea.
I end up with painted nacelles of course, but no glued photoetched. However, to glue them you need a very effective glue so that it adapts to the shape of the nacelle.Impossible to do without it overflowing and damaging the paint.

I found a special PE acrylic glue (Mig) that could do the trick.
It cleans with water, doesn't seem to leave any marks and it sticks very, very well.

Well... I started my painting before realizing that it would undoubtedly have been necessary to glue the rev counters on the nacelles before painting.

And that's when I realized that the profiling of the Kit's rev counters are not those used on the Poulet G4...

So I turned the laser printer back on... but there is a problem with the nacelle protection plates.
Either they are too short by a good 3 mm, or there are several versions and it is not the right one for my plane.

The rev counter fairing does not reach the mast whereas on the kit it exceeds it.

How do I do it now???
Should I redo the plates? and all the paintings?

Your attention to detail is amazing. I envy those of you that understand the Magic of 3D printing 8) As for re-doing the rev counters I wont give My advice. I am sure you have already decided which way you will go  ::)

Hi,

I redid the fairings. Difficult to adapt given the shape of the nacelles.

You did an amazing job with reprinting the rev.counter fairings.

I wish I had the knowledge and cash to make use pf a 3D printer. There are some parts I just can't get right. Replicating 8 identical parts is almost impossible by hand...

Enough complaning, I hope you keep stunning us!

Obviously I glued it the first time on the wrong side.

But it's fixed!

We see the print traces too much despite the surface. To the naked eye it could almost be okay.
So you have to master it again. With water putty (AK) to spread it with a brush and have as little sanding as possible.

Some more dust to remove:
