1/32 Special Hobby Morane Saulnier Type N
« on: September 25, 2018, 12:17:47 AM »
Iv'e been working on this kit from Special Hobby.

First up are some engine shots; it builds up from resin and PE parts. I added 50+ some scratch parts like valves, rocker arms and spark plugs.

And here painted up, weathering consisted of Tamiya Dark Brown panel liner over a Vajello Aluminum base coat. A fine toning of the Tamiya product shot though the airbrush tied things together.

Ryan,
Wonderful work so far. I really like the wood grain on the floor panel, how did you do it?
Cheers,
Lance

Very nice work so far. That's doubtless a convincing interior for that plane.

Very kind guys, the wood grain on the floor is Raw Umber Oil over Tamiya Desert Yellow. It took about 1/2 hour to get sponge pull I liked!

Hi Ryan,
Your 'Bullet' is coming along nicely - the cockpit detailing is very good.
I did this model some time ago:

Thanks Ryan. That's the same paint combo I normally use but I have to say your results outshine mine! I'll have to experiment with sponge vs. a brush for the oil streaks.
Cheers,
Lance

Lance I tried the brush but it left too faint graining.

The sponge I used was right out of the Gas Patch mg I'm using in the build.

Sandbagger I came across your model during my research, great build sir.

Great build, Ryan! The interior looks beautiful, clean and sharp. I think the rest will look outstanding, too.
