In my opinion the best photo hosting site is picasa, no hassles, one click loading, as easy as pie to use and to transfer photos to a forum, and it's fee.
I got sick and tired of the problems I used to have with photobucket, they totally ruined what used to be a good site, so for the past two years I have used picasa without any issues at all, but, it all boils down to personal choice.

Anything changed, Des? You still happy with Picasa?

For all the years that I have been using Picasa I have never has an issue, up loading photos to the forum is extremely simple. If you do decide to use Picasa I'm sure you will be very happy.

It seems Picasa was a Google offshoot, and it is now superseded by Google Photos.

I have had no luck getting Google Photos to work for me.
I can copy the link to a photo and paste it in my browser to bring up the image, so the link works, but I use it to post here, nothing happens.

Has anyone had success with Google Photos?

- Bill

Just for fun I'll try again with this post.  Image 1:

I have used Picasa, but this was replaced by Google Photos, as you wrote.

Picasa had the official feature of providing links for external embedding.
The good thing is, that none of the links was deleted, it is still supported, but now is no more possible to add pictures. Only download and delete is supported now.

Google Photos DO NOT support external linking. This is a official statement in the support forum, which made many users unhappy (and I think this was the real reason for Photo).
I had embedded for some time Google Photos also here (before I was aware of this issue), but it was tricky and not sure, how long this links are working. So I don't use it anymore.

Cheers,
Frank

I hope this is the right place to test a photo - I'm currently working on a WNW Felixstowe early and have been uploading pictures to Flickr...

So I thought I'd put a test image on here just in case... and to try to work out what format of link to use.

Ok, on my 4th attempt I got it right!! I'll try and put my build log on in a little bit!

Hello:

Good morning. What other options are there besides Photobucket? No matter what I do they will not upload.

Thank you,
Carl

Try this, you can google the "How To" stuff. Reliable, easy to use and free!
