Thanks Frank, Nigel, Rick & Ed,

A parcel arrived from Richard at Aviattic yesterday...

He’s very kindly had a clear out of his bottom drawer and supplied me with some lovely background ‘litter’ for the Diorama.

I’m still waiting the arrival of my Trailer, Fuel Cart and Gaspatch bits.

Any ideas for the canvas straps for the trailer tie downs?  ???

Cheers

Guy

Afternoon All,

Pleased to say my lovely Aviattic goody bag arrived this morning  :)

The trailer looks beautiful. Incredible detail but a little flash to remove...

The fuel tank is equally beautifully cast with some very detailed small parts... shown here after the parts have been cleaned up.

And if that wasn’t enough... the Gaspatch parcel arrived too. These parts are breathtakingly perfect. Nano modelling. How these are made is beyond me.

The spoked wheels are extremely fine:

As are the guns:

I’ve been beavering away on these today and will post more updates shortly.

Guy

Ps here are the trailer parts cleaned up:

Clean up is done with a mix of scalpel blades, fine files and a drill. Care is needed as it does produce a lot of dust and it’s apparently a bit of a health hazard, so I opened up the windows and wore a face mask.

Those parts look great!  I love Gaspatch Spandaus and those spoked wheels are just amazing.

Thanks Gazza  ;D

And yes Manni, that describes it perfectly! Ingredients all there, just wondering if the chef’s up to the job!

So I’ve constructed the trailer and fuel cart. They went together very well and I didn’t have any issues. I’m not used to working with resin, but it stuck together very well using a medium viscosity CA. There are an excellent set of photographic instructions on Aviattic’s website which takes you through the build process very nicely. I think the whole thing probably took a couple of hours. My only error was, I think, that I didn’t (ie forgot) anneal the PE fenders, so the arch has ended up a bit ‘flat’. I didn’t really realise until I stepped back at the end and it was too late.. and it bugs me now!

I primed them using my lovely MRP fine black primer and painting next up.

The fuel cart primed...

I’m getting close now to the basework and I haven’t a clue where to start...  ???

Thanks again for popping in  ;D

Guy

Ps surely everyone can now see that England are going to win the World Cup?  :o I can’t take another penalty shoot out...

Thanks Juan and Borsos  ;)

I’ve also added the Gaspatch items to the Junkers.. although not specifically designed for the model, the seem to fit right in! The wheels are Palmers and the guns are Fokkers...
