Hello from Italy
« on: January 09, 2018, 10:36:30 PM »
Dear friends,
I introduce myself in a few lines. I'm an Italian modeller with a peculiar interest in the aviation history from beginning to 1939. Of course I started my activity with the Airfix series 1 bags so that you can imagine my age.
When I think of these days it seems to me impossible to have now such a bonanza of kits even without mentioning the fabuolous Wingnut series. Any way, maybe due to my age, I'm particularly attached to the vacuum formed kits.
About the WWI subjects I follow mainly the Imperial Austrian Air Force  the K.u.K. Luftfahrt because in my regione there were a lot of important Austrian airfields ans ome of the remained today without buldings. I live and work in Belluno in Northern Italy at the bottom of the Alps.
That's all and now happy modelling to you!

Welcome to the Forum, and you won't be the only one here that can say "that you can imagine my age"! Can you post some photos of some of your models? Austrian subjects would be most welcome as it's an area not generally well covered in the Hobby. Enjoy the Forum, it has a lot to offer.
Cheers,
Lance

Welcome to the Forum! Like Lance said your K.u.K. builds would be a welcome change from  the German, French, and British  subjects we normally see.

I'm glad you are interested in the Austrian subjects. Recently I've moved on so most of the kits have faced many problems and I've been in stand by for many years because I dedicated myself to the other passion the 28 mm miniatures.
Anyway I'm working at an Austrian kit so it could be my first post in the forum. I've found it among the ruins of the relocation, started then abandoned.
