More great work. These pushers, even more than other WWI types, are like three seperate models you complete then tie them together at the end.

The engine looks the part Andrew:  It is quite busy and nicely detailed.  I noticed the carburetor linkage and your wiring harness.  Good stuff.

Hi

I've joined the wings and I've started the rigging.
The plan was to use the rb production photetched wires, but after some trials I've decided to use the elastic wire.
The RB wires looks great, but I think that can be used only on a plane
with very rigid structure. The FE2B as big wings and there's always a little bit of flex, so when you move the model the wings move a little and the wires start to bend.... I think that can be used on smaller models that have a more rigid structure, maybe the Sopwith Snipe.

Anyway it's all experience and now thee rigging with the elastic wire is is going well, I'll keep you apdated

IMO you have chosen correctly the rigging material. I think there is no hope for any inelastic material, no way to rig a model without bending. I would say, even not the Snipe.
Well, rigging the Fee was one of greatest experiences in my modelling life. Enjoy every moment of it, too, as much as I had!

Loveely work,It's the rigging that scared me away from the Fee but I agree with everyone, elastic rigging is essential to keep it tight.

     This is turning out to be an absolute thing of beauty; I don't have the courage or skills to tackle a Fee or a DH2 at this point so I certainly admire the beautiful results you are getting on this. Since I have two spools of EZ Line on hand maybe I'll have to give the Fee a try...............but first I'll follow your Build and learn from it!
    Nice detail, I'll be following your progress closely.

Yes , elastic is the way to go  :D

I've used a 0.1 mm thread, I've tried also the flat elastic wire to replicate the raf flat wire, but it's too thick and doesn't look right: simple round rigging is the right choice  :)

I used the elastic offered by WNW for my Fee - the flatness is reduced when put under tension.

Andrew the rigging so far looks very sharp - you always get taut straight rigging with elastic.  Just wait until the rigging is complete and you take pics from different angles, it is a real spiders web...

I' haven't used the WnW elastic, the one I tried is from another brand maybe that's the problem, but I'm pleased with the result with normal elastic until now... is my first rigging after all....  ;)

Looking Good Andrew:  It looks as if it would be fairly straightforward as you seem to have access to the rear portion as well as the front portion.  Is that white line or some other color.  I like it.

The color is white, a little transparent... Doesn't look bad, but I'll try some silver paint on it and see what it will look like

Hi!

I'm back

I worked mostly on the rigging, so there was not much too show.
Now the big part of rigging is finished, and I'm working on another parts.

some rigging detail:



I discovered in some pictures that there are two guides (?) on the left radiator scoop, so I scratchbuilt them with copper wire.
In the close ups they look a bit harsh , but in real life they are ok.
They are not yet painted.

 






Two views of the model on the landing gear (it needs rigging and the wheels are there only for the pictures, they need some work and the paint).
In the first picture you cans see the scratch built guides on the scoop.
