Hallo friends,
here are the latest advancements on the BrXIV.
Studying the rigging by observing the photos such as this:
I understood that these cables (highlighted in yellow in the following schema) are double. So I had to prepare a double anchoring point on the fuselage:

Port

Starboard

Then I worked on some details:
Instrument panel:

Exhaust tube (resin piece):

Tail skid (white metal), I di not like the metal piece so I scratch built a different one:

This is the radiator (resin):

The wheels (resin):

I drilled the holes for the pins of the landing gear structure (white metal). I preferred to do this before closing the fuselage:

I had to clean the pieces from flashes and moulding lines.
This is the inter-wheels axle:

the rubber chords are molded around the hubs, but they are horrible (see top picture left hub), so I decided to model the plastic and create the saddle where to roll the chord.
Both the hubs modified as shown in the bottom photo.
This is the elastic thin chord that was supplied with the Academy Ni 17 1/32 kit that I glued with CA to some sprue to check the adhesion

Propeller (white metal):

Everything now is ready to close the fuselage, so I painted the interiors:

Oops, another thing that has to be checked before closing the fuselage is the tail planes (vertical and horizontal.
As all the pieces of this kit those pieces have no pins to be blocked onto the fuselage, so I drilled and pinned the plastic:

Here you can see that I also had to work to round the forward lower part of the fin because it did not fit well. it was too "deep"...

That's all for today, I have other little things to show but I haven't yet had time to take pictures and to describe them.
A demain!
Ciao
