Hi Frank,
I'd like to reiterate all the complimentary comments re your stunning EV/DVIII. The colour combination and the subtle panel lines on the wing are particularly impressive.

My own feeble example ('You too can have a Fokker EV') in the 'Under Construction' section in which I showed how a Fokker DVI can be converted to an EV, has stalled due to the Miko-Mir release.

I along with many others here seem to crave a definitive answer to the wing camouflage  of these aircraft. Your logic re the green/purple is just as compelling as the received wisdom of the green/brown on the top surface, Also, I can agree with the idea that the underside was one colour. After all, no other German aircraft had wings painted in two colours underneath, so why do it on this one, so late in the war?

I'm sure that a debate on this subject is long overdue!

As I said I have done this backwards so my final Outstanding work is given to your EV! Interesting take on the wing colors. No more or less provable than the others I would say!

Mate, that's amazing what you have done here. Really great and one of the best 1/48 models I've ever seen.

I agree, such very nice details & finishes!

After Ginger put this old thread back to the surface I noticed, that I haven't answered yet :-\

Thank you very much for such great feedback!

I missed this originally. Great work and I really like the wing colour theory - it makes a lot of sense.

Thank you Steve!
I still really like the model, the only issue, compared to my newer models, is the not rotatable mounted rotary.

Cheers,
Frank
