No IP at all. Just a couple instruments hanging off of fuselage structure like the curved bar in the front of the cockpit.

I don't know why they include a panel. Perhaps some modern replica used for reference?

I started with a fairly straightforward item first. The prop.
I used Lifecolor cocoa first and then dry brushed  Tamiya linoleum deck brown on top with a final coat of  Vallejo wood grain followed by gloss varnish. I used Vallejo steel with a black wash for the centre hub but it looks better in the flesh than under flash . Honest :)



Tomorrow I will start on the engine for which I have great plans.

Today I started on the engine. It's a le Rhone 9J



I used Vallejo steel mixed with some Vallejo metallic black and a black wash for the crankcase and aluminium with a sepia wash for the pistons.



Next up the exhausts and there is a slight gap at the top of the cylinder head that will have to be filled



I'm using Tamiya dark copper for the exhausts and then fill the gaps with CA glue. Hopefully this will work. I was thinking about cutting off the top of the inlet pipes and adding some fine plastic piping but as they'll be hidden I didn't think it was worth the extra  effort. I may do spark plug leads as well and again they are hidden but.......well I'll know they're there :)

I used glue N glaze in the end to fill the gaps at the top of the cylinders with the inlet pipes.



Also the rocker actuating rods are too thick and didn't line up with the rockers at the top of the cylinder heads.



So I cut them off and will use .4mm styrene rods to replace them
I decided to add spark plug leads as well

The engine is now done. Shame most of it won't be seen but I've learnt a lot in doing it. First time I've built in this scale.
