Today I started on the engine. It's a le Rhone 9J

I used Vallejo steel mixed with some Vallejo metallic black and a black wash for the crankcase and aluminium with a sepia wash for the pistons.

Next up the exhausts and there is a slight gap at the top of the cylinder head that will have to be filled

I'm using Tamiya dark copper for the exhausts and then fill the gaps with CA glue. Hopefully this will work. I was thinking about cutting off the top of the inlet pipes and adding some fine plastic piping but as they'll be hidden I didn't think it was worth the extra effort. I may do spark plug leads as well and again they are hidden but.......well I'll know they're there
