Excellent interiors and a lot of valuable informations out of the linked Iwik and Andonio Nieuports. I'm looking forward to see the rimaining work. Best wishes.

Just catching up on this - excellent work and very careful attention to detail. The interior may not be very visible when the model is complete but what can be seen will look very realistic.

 Toby,
This thread just keeps impressing my old friend. I love the shade of her wood works, not too dark and very realistic in appearance . I encountered the same cockpit fit issue as you. I ended up thinning the fuselage once again to get it to fit properly. In hindsight it would have been easier to have build the cockpit up as separate pieces . Have you test fitted the cowl to fuselage yet? I read about this issue in an old Windsock from when the kit was first issued by HobbyCraft. I followed Ray's suggestion to get the cowl to fit correctly, which worked out well. But be advised thinning the forward fuselage to fit the cowl will cause fit issues when using the Master Casters interior. Keep up the outstanding progress.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

Starting to install the cockpit. Some tidying up to be done but a lot of it won't be seen.

It looks as though you have achieved a very good fit on the interior. Very nice work! Looking forward to the next update.

Cockpit looks great.
I think everyone has the same problem as you with invisible parts.  ;)

I wholly agree with Adam - but at least you know that it is there.

Life has taken over recently what with all the warm weather but back to the bench now. Fuselage sealed up and painted.

To get some contrast with the aluminium finish on different parts I used Vallejo aluminium for the nose with a gloss varnish with a grey wash for the inspection hatches.
For the fuselage itself I used Misterkit French aluminium with a satin varnish.
The stitching on the engine is the PE set that comes with the kit and I have made a bit of a ricket with it as the stitching isn't quite as pronounced in real life and in a way i should've stuck with the already embossed pattern but I didn't. Anyway time to start on the rest now.

The aluminium finish looks very good indeed. Never mind about the stitching - most people would not notice unless you pointed it out.

I am enjoying watching your progress. The Aluminum paint came out terrific! Like Stephen said not many would notice the stitching if not pointed out!

I've decided to go with the Raoul Lufbery version of this. I checked out the other options  and tbh the decals looked very oversized especially the "French" cross that goes on top of the fuselage. It was way too big and would've gone down the side.

Great choice of schemes Toby. I have always liked the Lufbery bird!

Thanks chaps
I did buy the Gaspatch Vickers to go with this but I thought I'd save that for another day so I'm going to scratch build one from the gun that comes with the kit.
I've added the barrel bib and cocking handle and will attach an extended cocking lever later. I'm assuming both handle and extended lever were fitted on the A/C although I'm leaning to it was one or the other with the extended lever taking precedence in this case. If so the cocking handle will go.
