Thanks, Guys...I'm glad you like it so far.   ;D

Tonight I put on all the interplane struts.  I must say this has got to be the easiest biplane I've put together in a long time.  Topped by the WNW Snipe, but I digress.  Considering how old these molds are (even if this is the later Lindberg release), I'm amazed.  Basically fell together and I guess it helps that everything is a right angles!  So here it sits so far...I also put on a bit more landing gear rigging and will start with the wing rigging tomorrow.

Stay tuned!

Dan

Your Avro is looking superb Dan, now that the struts are all fitted it makes it look excellent, and the rigging is brilliant, you have achieved great results for a 1:48 scale model.

Dan, this is turning out to be such a beautiful model, you made me dig deep into my stash to pull mine out to look at it.  You've done a remarkable job on this kit.  I'm looking forward to seeing her finished.
Cheers,
Bud

Personally I think that this is an aesthetically pleasing aeroplane - more so than many others of its time and you are really demonstrating just how good its lines were. You have certainly made an excellent model so far - when it is rigged it is going to be a real charmer.

Thanks, Guys...!!

Stephen...I agree with the looks.  I like this one, the Avro Triplane and the Blackburn monoplane.  My favs from that era.

I'll post a bit more rigging tonight.

Amazing, and enticing, seeing the out-of-the box photos and then what you have done with those basic parts. I'm getting one. And a Bleriot.

Thanks, everyone...Tonight I did finish the rigging, though my placement of the rigging behind the cockpit is a best guess from photos.  The machine definitely has anti-drag wires, but the anti-anti-drag wires (ha, ha) are at least close.  Maybe Stephen has a better idea where they actually were?  I also don't know if there was extra rigging on the rudder structure (where the fin would be if it had one) nor do I know if the tail skid had any.  Otherwise, she is completely rigged and I love it.  The more drag, the better for me!  ;D ;D

All that's left now is the pilot's seat, the pilot and some lower wing skids on the tips.  THEN the make or break...spoke wheels.  I made some one time for a flying model but never this tiny.  I think I know what to do, but we'll see!

Thanks for looking and the great comments.  Really makes a person want to finish their model.

Rigging placement? Who would care? It looks right so it is right!  :)

Very impessive build Dan. I have no doubt you son is very proud of what you have achieved with his gift.

Very much looking forward to viewing your next installment.

Bravo!   ;D
