Hello,
at last I send som pics of my recent build: The Albatros C III in 1/48 from Special Hobby. Sorry, I've got no pics of the box or the sprues, just take a look here:
http://www.hyperscale.com/2010/reviews/kits/sh48090reviewrb_1.htmIt's a fine kit but there are some minor issues. Looking at pictures of the finished kit made by others and comparing the parts to the drawings in the WDF, it's evident that the cockpit opening is much too small and the wheels are too fat. That turns this workhorse into looking like a Brauereigaul (sorry, no way to translate this...

)
I widened the cockpit and replaced the wheels with those from an Eduard Pfalz D IIIa kit, that have the proper diameter. I thinned down all edges to increase scale effect and scratchbuilt some parts like the seat belts and the Telefunken FT in the otherwise quite well done interior. And I replaced the kit's engine with a resin one from Pavla.

For the wood I used Uschi van der Rosten's wood decals and gave them a preshading and a filter of brown oil paint. For the CDL wings I wanted to try something else and used Aviattic's CDL decal paper. It takes its time to use it over some preshading (especially cutting the rib tapes – I HATE decaling rib tapes..), but I like the effect for a well worn battleplane flying in the battle of Verdun for an artillery spotting detachment.
No photo exists (as far as I know) from C.1110, this interpretation is based completely on written reports. I'll finish this story as soon as I finished the kit...
I hoipe you like it.
