Dear Bud,
thank you for your encouraging words, that's really very kind! No I won't scrap it, I'm thinking about a strategy to solve that problem... somehow...
I wanted to build a battle-worn plane, but not that battle-worn.
I love your Albatros, it looks wonderful! It's a Verdun sheme too

And I absolutely agree what you said about the early B and C Albatrosses.
To prevent any misunderstanding: I do not want to blame Tamiya or Aviattic for what happened, it was just my own silly fault. These rattle cans are Acrylics too, it's the same stuff they sell in bottles. But there comes much more out of it than shooting it with an airbrush. And Tamiya acrylics are diluted with isopropanol - so that "much more" was obviously too much. If I had used my Revell acrylics, diluted with window cleaner, it would not have happened. But do you know the Gunze rattle cans? If you use them at first it looks like you have oversoaked your model with clear, but then, when it dries, it gets perfectly smooth. I had expected that the tamiya stuff would work the same way...
Best wishes
Borsos
