Aviatik Berg D.II - Karaya/1:48 (39.08)

Hello,
I have decided to go with the flow and take last Karaya kit from my stash. For the long time I wanted to do some plane with hexagonal KuK’s camouflage and bought Karaya Aviatik Berg D.II with such a intention but the technique of laying them on the scale replica always gave me the headache. More I tried to read and get the knowledge of the pattern and colors more reluctant I became. Then I said stop, Let us do it! So here comes new story
First the engine. Karaya’s Austro-Daimler is quite good but some improvements were necessary. Those resin springs imitations were not the good idea, so decided to do them on my own.

I am quite close to final work before fuselage closure

Very nicely done interior work and prop! Also thanks for showing both sides of the prop, if enough of you continue to do so I may yet get a feeling for what the overall pattern looks like

Welcome in 2016!
I have done control panel, which was done on sandwich method
and before the final join
I have also started to work on the lower wings part, which should be left in natural canvas color

Great job Krzysiek! Your production rate lately is trully stunning
Everything apart the prop looks great! The latter isn`t your best one I think.
Keep up the good work!

Gorgeous project, K! Everything from the engine to the cockpit to the wings is truly brilliant. Love the subject, too!
Cheers,
Bud
