I just had a look at the finished model on the WnW website. It is a beauty. Carefully wheathered, perhaps a bit too careful around the tail.
I'm not sure, but I don't think that the spoked wheels are the ones from the kit. They look excellent, but for me it is difficult to imagine these are made either from the sprues or the pe set. Perhaps I should try to make my own spoked wheels ;)

regards,
Ivo

As far as I know, Zdenko Bugan is asked to build the presentation models out of the box. To me these wheels look to be made from PE elements included in the kit. Indeed, it seems that no aftermarket ones are necessary.

In that case it is an excellent result. Especially as I know that the pe spokes will be square where they should be round, they look pretty good. The radiators too.

If I take a closer look I expect after market possibilities for the engine, the radiators and the wheels. I can't wait to see what Bo is going to do with this kit (of course after he has finished the D.Va and D.VII  ;D).

Ivo

I know Scale Spokes do pretty good spoked wheels but I don't know if he has the correct size for the Albatros B.II.

Yes,
John Vojtech's wheels are very very nice. But the choice is limited. I was hard put to it to choose ones with correct dimension from what they offer to add to my currently built DFW C.V. Finally reckoned that Gotha ones were right. They come in sets of 4 so I still have two left. When I get the Albatros kit I will check if they can be used for it, too.

Hi
To all future Albatros B.II model builders I recommend the Albatros B.II book published by 'Model Centrum PROGRES'.
This book help (I think) to recognize the Albatros B.II versions and give some interesting photos...

I ordered that book as well as the datafile one, amongst others. Don't yet have that  kit, but got my self the late AEG kit for Christmas, while the Canadian peso was still at 75 cents US  :'( . The exchange rate is killing me. But as far as 2 seaters I like the look of it and the fact that includes the wood decals makes it sort of a bargain when you think about normally getting after market ones.

I just ordered that book yesterday after I received my kit. I have the WS Datafile on order also, but it hasn't shown up yet.

My Model Centrum PROGRES book came about a week ago and I highly recommend it.  But as for being the definitive reference for the early B.II, it falls short.  It has a ton of wonderful photos of two restored aircraft, both late models, one in Krakow and one in Sweden, but very little on the early B.II.  I've got the Datafile on the way and hopefully it will have more information on this version.  The Model Centrum book has an intriguing profile of an early B.II armed with a Colt Browning machine gun, but no photos to back it up.  Hoping that the Datafile will have something on this ship.
Cheers,
Bud
