I seem to have missed this one when it was posted. Nice looking DV especially considering the work needed to build the Pegasus kit to this standard!
Sorry for the very late reply!

After looking at all of the great D.V's and D.Va's, I thought it was time I added mine.  Been a long time since anyone posted here, but there are plenty of great inspirations.

Anyway...here we go:

Built a LONG time ago, 1/72 Pegasus DVa converted to DV.
Lozenge is Aeromaster, and the skull decal is Americal.
Old interpretation of Monnington's DV. Looking at the picture today, it seems obvious that the upper wing was green / mauve.

Croas,
I did my Wingnut Wings D.V in Monnington's scheme several years back. Their plans showed the upper as green/mauve as you say with the lower and horizontal tail planes and elevator in lozenge. Your interpretation looks pretty fine though, nice little model. 8)

Lance

Very nice work, Gaz, congratulations!

Here is my 1/144 scratchbuild of Paul Bäumer's D.V from Jasta 5 I finished 2 years ago.

If you did not mention the scale I am sure most would think this DV was 1/72nd or 1/48th upon their first view of the photos! Gorgeous work from construction through painting and rigging!

Rick,
Great job on that Albatros!  I really like the way your plywood came out.  I've been trying to get that hue for some time and always end up too orange.

Thought I'd post a few photos of my latest DVa here to keep this topic alive. This Wingnut Wings DVa was built in tribute to our founding Owner, Des Delatorre. It was finished with numerous after-market additions including Pheon Decals and Aviattic Lozenge. I hand carved the prop from Alaskan cedar and Pear veneers.
The model represents a Jasta 17 machine flown by the Unit's Staffelfuhrer, Hptm. R. Freiherr von Esebeck at Douilly France in March of 1918.

As someone put it so well in the past, "you can never have too many "Albies"!

Lance

Thanks Rick!
The Albatros D Series fighters are timeless, they never seem to lose their appeal. I think as a Modeler that if I were to stick to one subject this would be it. So many great schemes, one could go on forever!
Cheers,
Lance
