Excellent work on the engine, Rick!  It's a shame so little will be seen when the model is finished.  I'm with you on super detailing only that which can be seen.  I'm getting too old linger on that sort of thing when I have 300+ kits in the stash. ;)
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks Amigo! I tend to like my aircraft closed up with clean lines so not usually going to leave off panels ! So if nothing is going to show then its the Basics for me  8)

Outstanding engine, Rick.

Rick,

Thanks Gregory. Like I said Out of the Box the engine is great. If one intends to display open panels the engine and engine compartment offer a great deal of room for super detailing!
RAGIII

Thanks also Des, Moustique, and my Amigo Ed! I truly appreciate your following my build and taking the time to comment!

Hello Rick!!!

Im back after while to "review" you progress ;) :D I dont even think I have sufficient skills to say review ;)

Engine looks great!!! Considering you will not even see much of it... bit shame to hide it but that is our destiny every now and then to hide great efforts inside of our flying machines :)

Hi Rick:

Just getting back into the forum after our trip to Ottawa.  Your work as always looks great.  As mentioned, it is a shame all that work is hidden once the model is assembled.  I am spending less and less time on interior details that I know won't be seen.  Your two builds are coming along nicely, looking forward to your next update.

Mark,
Thanks for your comments. Your trip to Ottawa looked to be an amazing experience! I am making progress on the Pfalz engine. I might even have photos LATE tonight or early tomorrow morning. ( Adjusting to another short 4 day rotation on 3rd shift).

The Pfalz engine is almost done. I have used my normal technique , smoke and mirrors for the wiring and wiring harness  ::)
A wash of Burnt Umber has been applied to represent oil stains. Still a bit to touch up and add. As an aside, more of the Engine shows after assembling the fuselage halves than on an Albatros or Fokker DVII so a little detailing is necessary.

Moving along, like the choice of the "lighter" colored spark plug wires.

Oddly enough, I agree with our amigo, here.  ;) Great color choice.  Superb looking engine and the wiring harness is nice and tidy.
