Some progress on the Pfalz interior. I have added the control wires and assembled the engine framework and bearers. Next up in the dual build is assembling the engines from both kits. I also need to add the wiring to the stick in the Pfalz.

  Rick,
Outstanding progress my old friend. The interiors for both the Salmson and Pfalz are shaping up to real show stoppers.Keep up the excellence.

Beautiful work on the interior, Amigo!  What a remarkable project this is turning out to be!

Very nice work! I'm enjoying watching your progress.
I shall never forget my admiration for that German pilot, who single handed, fought seven of us for ten minutes. I saw him go into a fairly steep dive and so I continued to watch, and then saw the triplane hit the ground and disappear into a thousand fragments...James McCudden

Thanks Martin. I appreciate the comment. Also thanks to Gregory, Bud, Moustique, Lukas, Kreston, and James. As always your comments and following of my builds is greatly appreciated! One small note on the Pfalz interior. I used the funky PE springs and am glad I didn't mess with replacing them. The springs on the lap belts and shoulder harness are totally invisible once the fuselage is closed up  ::)

The Salmson Engine is complete. I have to thank Chris Johnson for pointing out the alignment requirements in his build. I have again done this OOB. The copper is Gunze. I have applied a wash of burnt sienna and black oils to give an oily look. That being said it will not be seen at all with the engine panels on  ::) There is a lot of room here for someone that wants to leave off panels and do super detailing!

Excellent work on the engine, Rick!  It's a shame so little will be seen when the model is finished.  I'm with you on super detailing only that which can be seen.  I'm getting too old linger on that sort of thing when I have 300+ kits in the stash. ;)
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks Amigo! I tend to like my aircraft closed up with clean lines so not usually going to leave off panels ! So if nothing is going to show then its the Basics for me  8)
