You have done a superb job with all the interior painting and fitting Andrew, your wood colours are excellent. Such a shame that all the effort you put into the interior virtually disappears when the fuselage is closed up. Looking forward to seeing more progress on this one.BTW, the radio controlled Felixstowe looks brilliant, does it fly well?Des.
Great start, Andrew. Or much more than just a start. You are well on the way!The aerial? I had the same headache, I read about it in 'The Spider Web'. But unfortunately I have not got any hint, where should it go. My guess is, that they just reeled it out through one of crew openings, I cannot imagine any hole in the hull for it. I would bet for one of side hatches for waist gunners, to avoid a danger of contact with propellers. But this is only my theory. In my model I decided to have the aerial secured on the reel. After all, they unreeled it only when airborne, not when on the trolley...
The copper pipes look very convincing. What kind of paint did you use? Thanks,George
