Sorry to be so late to this interesting thread. Great modelling, the interior, weapons and engine look great. So does the scratched paint. I will certainly look into this thread when I start my Snipe (all blame for this is on TaurusModels for releasing that amazing Bentley).

Terrific progress, Lance. Excellent paint work and decaling.  The
Wing looks amazing.  Looking forward to the next installments, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

The Aviattic White backed CDL Decals were cut to shape and applied to the wings and empennage under surfaces to provide the two inch "wrap- under feature of the standard British Finish, great product that worked very well

The result is an absolutely tidy "demarcation line" between CDL and PC10. I think this approach is better than masking and spraying.

Stefan

Stefan,
Now that I've tried this method I believe it's the best way to go by far, with a little care while cutting the decal to fit it's far easier to get a neat and tidy result.

Lance

Lance,
Your work is terrific as usual! The CDL decal does indeed make for a neat job on the carry over PC10! Your PC10 color looks excellent and you recovered from the cracked paint quite well!

Hi Lance:

I like the CDL decal affect.  I am going to have to get some and the decal as I like the scheme and the history.  As has been mentioned, a nice tidy job of it.  Makes me want to get another one and build the Sopwith collection.

Best
Mark

James, Rick, Moustique, and Mark,
Thanks for checking her out and for your kind comments! I'd recommend the CDL Decals as a solution to the "wrap under" without hesitation. As for the "cracked paint", maybe not so much! :-\
Cheers,
Lance

Truly brilliant, Lance!  I love the results you achieved with the Aviattic decals.  You've got me itchin' to do mine.

Bud, Greg,
Much appreciate your comments. As with the Lozenge Product you need the White Decal Paper version of the CDL or it will show the base colours through the translucent decal. With the kit part as your template the cutting is not as onerous as it first appears.
Cheers,
Lance

Very nice job on the wrap-arounds Lance, and as the others have stated, the CDL decals look very much the part when I see them applied. The fuselage striping looks excellent too and from seeing how well you did with these, I've got a bit more confidence in trying them myself when I get to my Barker build. Everything looks superb as always and now I can see just how far out ahead of me you are. Looking forward to seeing more images as you progress.

Cheers,

Chris
