She is looking so nice Rick my friend. You are certainly doing another great job here. This was my first ever build ( but WnW) and it brings back memories!

Kind regards
Patrick

Excellent work Rick, I really like the wrinkles you added, they look every bit as good as theWingnuts efforts.

Excellent work, Rick.  As Des mentioned, the wrinkles are
beautifully done...a nice personal touch. With your attention
to detail this SE5 is destined to be a winner.  Well done my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Looks fantastic, Rick!  I love how the wrinkles turned out.  Gotta get myself of that Ceramcoat.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks Amigo!

Coming together very nicely, Rick. Nice wrinkles on the fabric,.... er, .....um, fabric on the wrinkles.............., Oh Hell, nice "puckers"!! :D Looks every bit as good as the WNW moulded version. Great update.
Cheers,
Lance

Lance,
Your comments are greatly appreciated. My goal was to have a few wrinkles more subtle than the WNW molded version.

Very great work Rick.

Nice effect Rick, and a very smooth primer coat.

All set for the artist to add in the colours next.

Keep the momentum going,

Best wishes,

Dave :)

Thanks Dave! As for the color, my original plan was to use Aviattic PC 10 on the upper surfaces of the wings and on the fuselage. I sort of messed up in that I should have made patterns for the fuselage BEFORE I went this far. I am now debating if I should use the Fabric decals on the wings and paint the fuselage fabric areas or just saving the Aviattic stuff for a Pup or the WNW SE? I am also looking for input on rib tapes. I have a set by Archer but it appears to me that I would need 3 more, pretty costly and not sure of a good FAST source in the US? conversely I thought HGW made some rib tapes but all I find is lozenge strips? I may also just use paint or decal strips to build up/indicate the tapes. Finally I also thought about Bobs Strippers but think I negated that option by priming. So any suggestions are appreciated.

Looking good, Suggestion; try the clear doped linen tapes from the WNW Roland D VI kit first then paint or PC10 decal over...

Thanks Amigo! I appreciate the suggestion for the rib tapes also! I think I have an option figured out. Working third shift this week and then VACATION for a week. I hope to do a lot next week.

I'm late stumbling across your update Rick, but it looks terrific.  I have been in a fallow period with respect to modeling, but you are inspiring me to get back to it!

Thanks Chris, glad to have you along! I haven't touched a model since the last update as I have been covering a vacation on third shift. I am now on vacation this week and hope to get a lot accomplished.
