A small update. I have decided to use decal strips for the rib tapes. After application I added some simulated nail heads. This process takes longer than I thought, about 2 1/2 hours on the upper wing.

PS: The width of the tapes was based on the WNW SE5a.

Very fine work on the ribs, Rick!  I know just how tedious that can be, having done much the same thing on my Eduard Tripe.  Whew!

I am not sure that the small nail head impressions will be visible after a couple coats of sealer and paint. If not then just having the tapes is more than was there in the beginning

Not Archer just decals... actually the rib tapes from my 1/24th scale Marcos Fokker DVII trimmed to width. The nail head effect is just my usual smoke and mirrors. I do have one set of Archers product but decided against them. The reason is that I figured I would need 3 or 4 more to do the wings on this one.. costly and would add wait time to the build.

Thanks Iwik. Like I said above the tapes will certainly be visible as an improvement over nothing. I wanted an effect that was just a bit more subtle than the WNW SE tapes. Hopefully it all will be good.
