The engine looks very nice.
Soon I'll start to building my motor. Also I have a parts Taurus and I'm afraid if I manage to mount it perfectly as you did it.

Beautiful engine, Prze. :D  What did you use for the sparkplug wires?
As usual, an uplifting update, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Looks super Prze  :D

I have an aversion to macro photography! After being really pleased with something I then want to chuck it in the bin after a close up shot...  ::)

Unlike Bo & Bertl - their detail work looks better in close up...  :P

Happy New Year...

Excellent work detailing the engine Przemol, it's all the fine detail that sets the engine off.

Thank you, everybody! I am glad you like my efforts on the engine.

Ernie, the electric wires were made from thin copper wire (about 0.2mm) painted brown.

Justin, thank you for the heads up! I have noticed the problem and was going to write about it. However, I also tried it twice and it is possible to squeeze in both, the engine together with the oil tank to the closed fuselage. So I will not break the fuselage.

A few steps forward...

Spandau machine guns assembled

Tail painted white

Then I started working with Aviattic losenge. I can only say superlatives! Finely workable, covers all the surface details like a glove, fits to the kit elements perfectly and the linen image is spectacular. Yet, I had to learn first. My very first attempt was a failure. I have wrongly assumed that CDL base colour will be fine. I have added some beige rib shading. And the result was far too dark. Luckily I have experimented on the elevator for which two decal sets are included. So it was not a problem to scrape everything and start again. Now I went for off-white base (Pactra white and mid stone in about 1:5 proportion). And the result was just fine on the tailplane

Only that the Mid stone rib shading proved to be too weak. For the remaining surfaces I will probably go for something more pronounced. The under sides are now ready for it but I have enough for today.

Hi again Prze

Yes, the lozenge is perfect! Looks brilliant when it's done as well as that  :)

Hello Przemol,

two questions:

a) did you use Master's update for the Spandau Barrels/jackets?
b) the Lozenge from Aviattic: Is this a set specifically for the Roland?

I hope you will succeed with your plan of shading on the wings.

Regards,
Stefan
