Well Bud, it seems you have used the best of 2 streaking decal ideas to create a beautiful finish! Clever idea and looks terrific! As always you have come through with FLYING COLORS!

The streaky decals look just great, Bud.  Great choice
and you are going to have a stunning little bird when
you're done.  Well done, my friend!

It's looking very good Bud and so helpful to people like me to see how the various finishes - like the streaked decals - work in skilled hands like yours.

Best wishes
Nigel

Bud,

I am annoyed at myself for missing your latest project on the Roden DVIi.   I will now be following with interest as your work to date is excellent - the streak effect decals look very good too.

Good luck on the rest of the build.  I have no doubt this will end up another winner from you.

Regards

Dave

Thanks, fellas!  Did a bit of work on the empennage, drilling holes and such.  The Roden horizontal stabilizer has the elevator control line hole indicators going straight up and down, rather than diagonal, so I fixed 'em.

Then I painted the tail in preparation for the decals.

To match the paint to the orange decals pilfered from Eduard kit, I started with Humbrol yellow 24 and added red 153 one drop at a time until I had a perfect match.
Cheers,
Bud
