Bummer! I tore my rotator cuff some years back and it was no fun. Hope you are on the mend quickly.

Here's hoping that you can make a full recovery without surgery. I hope too that the pain can be kept under control but you will have to suffer the pain of not being able to make anything - it is that which I would find the worst!

Have a rapid recovery and certainly stay in touch with the forum.

You guy's are truly the best ! Many thanks for the support  ;D

I hope to be back at the bench very soon , it is painful sitting here while the SSW  project is calling my name . I'm hoping that there will be no surgery involved and just physiotherapy .

Sorry to hear of your injury. If it's the rotator cuff, I suffered a tear in one some years back but it generally fixed itself with some physio and massage- no surgery needed. It hurt like hell at first and was very uncomfortable but gradually it resolved itself. I hope yours comes right of its own accord too and without the need for surgery.

Kind regards

Yep, bummer.  Time for lots of rest, pain killers, oh, I usually mix my pain killers with a nice glass of wine (but don't do this and drive).  Rotator cuffs, hmm, fiddly, very unstable joint those shoulders.  I agree with Dave, they do tend to heal with, rest, time and physio.

Suppose you now have a perfect opportunity to do lots of reading and research and plan your next build.

(Oh, you could always find the time to feed your local squirrels!)  :)

Get well soon.

Sorry to hear of this Terri, but like the others have said, take it easy and you'll be back in the fold.  I agree with Steven, a great opportunity to research and plan future builds...

IanB , that's what I'm doing , feels pretty good holding a beer in the left hand actually  ;)

Steve , I see we are still on the subject of squirrels  :o  I have enough trees in the yard which provide all the food the can possibly consume . Even with a cat eye balling them and trying to catch them I must say they are pretty dame brave !

Thanks Dave , Vincent and Ian from Doncaster . I tried a bit of modeling today by working on the Fokker D.VII for the GB . I was able to get paint on the cylinder heads and floor board , but this didn't go well and paying for now .

On a good note I did hear back from the specialist and my appointment is next month on the 9th . Was surprised by this . We don't have the best health care and normally this takes up to a few months on hearing back from them .

I'm happy to hear that you are managing Terri, but don't overdo it, you don't want to aggravate your shoulder any more than what it already is, it will take time to heal.
