What can I add? That is an excellent representation of wood grain - just wish I could achieve that too. This model is really coming on well.

Hey , thanks a lot guy's for your positive feed back on the spinner and prop blades  ;D I was worried about this and stalled on getting to it . This really is the make it or break it for the whole build and props are one of my fails and ended up having to re-do them a few times . I can say this though . The blending stick is a must when doing the grain effect . Will have some progress soon , almost ready to mount the top wing ...

Well, Terri, I'd say that props may HAVE BEEN one of your "fails" but not any more. Seems to me you're kickin' tuschy.

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Agreed!

I still don't feel like I have prop painting under control, but you seem to have it licked.  Looks great!

Very nice wood effect on that prop. What is the blending stick you're talking about to achieve that?

Nice overpainting effect on the elevator too. D'you have information about elevator's lozenges being overpainted red on that a/c? I only have a close-up showing mainly the cockpit area.

Michael , xmald , Chris and Vincent . Thanks for the reinforcement on the prop . The more I stare at it that smile on my face grows even more .

Vincent , As far as I know there really isn't photo's of the tail and with all the speculations on this scheme one ends up pulling all their hair out ,  so I went with Dan San Abbots profile and info on the Aerodrome web site  . His profile has the main wings as red , but in photo's the lozenge pattern is noticeable . More so then it would be if over painted red .

I post a pic of the blending stick for you . It's like a soft white plastic type thinging ...

Over the past few days I have made a bit more progress . She grew a set of legs !
