Bob, Martin and Von Bob, thanks for your support. Patience Herr Von Buckle,
The rigging will start just as soon as I figure where all those wires go. ;) :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hi Ernie, may I say that I am impressed with you build of the Pup. So many things to comment on, the rigging, the woodgrain and painting spring to mind. Inspiring work!

Cheers

You're at the really fun part of the build now Ernie. Don't sweat the upper wing. While I thought it was terribly wobbly when I built mine, as was the undercarriage, once you rig it, the whole assembly is quite strong.

What brand of monofilament are you using?

You and I are a lot alike in our posts Ernie. You're not shy about illustrating the problems you encounter along the way, such as the bit of mess you ended up with on the underside. I always find it refreshing to know that others encounter the same sorts of issues as I do.

She's going to be a real beauty when you're finished!

Cheers,

Chris

Ernie,
I can't add a whole lot to what has been said by the others. Superb job on the rigging that is completed and it looks as though you are set up to have a fantastic rigging job once the upper wing is mounted! OUTSTANDING!

Hello Ernie:

Betty is looking to be the Bees Knees.  I like your approach to rigging.  I do the same, makes it so much easier.  Your shading is outstanding.  This is going to be a real stunner.  Looking forward to seeing her wrapped up.

Best

Mark

Thanks so much for the encouragement, Snowy, Chris, Terri and Rick!  It's you
and all the other friends here that have helped my model building.

Chris- This is the kind I use.  I figure that 250m will keep me going well
into my next life. ;D

I got mine from Fish USA, but I imagine it is available most anywhere.

Yep, that's the same stuff I use, and the same supplier too. I can't find it over here in Ontario at all so I bought a number of spools just to be sure I never run out :D

Cheers,

Chris

Yes, indeed. With google I immediately found a supplier in the Netherlands. Same diameter, different length (600m). Do you color this line when in use as rigging material?

regards,
Ivo

Hi Ivo, thanks for dropping by.  Yes, I usually colour the line, but have up
until now used a silver "Sharpie" marking pen, which works quite well.  This
time I have used the Gunze stainless steel paint. :)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Hi Ernie:

Will this line work making turnbuckles with Bob's Buckles tubing?

Thanks

Hi Mark,
Sorry for jumping in... but yes, this line is what I use for 90% of all my rigging.  So, in answer, it's all good!

Cheers,
Bob

Chris , even here in Alberta you can't get this line . I looked in all the fishing shops and nothing .

I initially bought mine through Cabellas in the U.S. but they stopped carrying it, and that sounded alarm bells for me. Luckily, Fish USA still has it.
