Going to have to try this pre-rigging the under carriage but I worry on the tension being to tight .

it is the air intake for the carburetor

You mean the rubber looking one  leading up toward the upper wing? I imagine that's a breather pipe. non standard.

Sorry was looking at wrong 'pipe'. Tank breather makes sense to me too.
