The chief advantage of water colours is that you may correct the wash as many times as you wish. It is very easy to wipe it totally if you are not satisfied and start again.

Thanks, Adam.

Recently I was working on the Puma engine. Here it is as WNW gave it. Now some scratch will follow - electric wires, some plumbing, carburetter control rods, whatever can be seen in a few photos available.

And provisionally seated at its place.

Prze,
Nice work on the engine for just the beginning. Can you share what paints were used & what you used for staining and highlighting?
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks. And sure, I can share the colours. Silver is still (though running out far too quick) old and now unavailable Mithril Silver from Citadel, Brass tips of spark plugs are Vallejo, black is ModelMaster and staining is black and green-brown water colour wash sealed with Thin layer of Clear.

Stellar work on the engine, my old friend!  Your water color wash is brilliantly executed.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello Prez:

It looks like an engine that has seen service.  Very nicely weathered and oiled, but not overly so.  Looking forward to seeing you wire it up.

Best

Hello, Prez -

Your worn metallic look to your motor looks spot on (presume use of dark paint washes to achieve the effect?)  - looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Thank you, again.

Lance, these are the water paints I am using:

After the weekend spent at the 11th Modelling Festival in Bytom (a photo relation will come soon) I came back to this model. A few wires and some plumbing added.

I am looking for any photos showing the fuel feed to the carbs in DH.9. Any help will be warmly welcome!
