I have been working on this kit for over two weeks now. I am planning to build a model of one of 20 Dh.9s donated by Great Britain to Poland in 1920. They were used in the war against Russia in 1920. I have chosen H5721 known from two photos, one of them is included in the Windsock Datafile on DH.9.
I have been busy with interior bits, there are quite a lot of them. The photos in the Datafile and in the WNW instruction do not reveal too many details not covered in the kit. A few exceptions include:
i) four cables running to the panel at the right hand side of the pilot instrument panel (I have already added them from a thin wire - just visible in the third photo)
ii) copper pipes (?) running along the right side of the pilot place which will be added to the assembly later.
I have added quite a few of Bob's eyelets for the interior rigging, painted all the bits, decalled the instruments and info plates, applied some wash which still has to be retouched and sealed with varnish. Then the real interior assembly will start.
