Thanks, guys!  I did end up sanding the inside of the cowling, Prez.  I was a bit nervous taking a Dremel to the finished cowling, but it turned out fine.  No damage and now the engine fits.
Cheers,
Bud

I've got the little one all pre-shaded and ready for paint and have started on the biggun.  Lots of wing surface.  This takes a bit of time, especially when doing two.  I'm sorely tempted to just go ahead and paint this one, but I'll resist.  The plan was to do them together.  Must stick with the plan.

Thanks for lookin' in, fellas.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello Bud:

Taking a break from motorcycle therapy.  You did a great job on the preshading.  This is going to really look the business when you get to the painting.  These two are coming along nicely Bud and I am looking forward to seeing you progress.

Best

I agree, the preshading looks very nice, especially on  the turtledeck.

I was starting wonder how you were getting on with the tripes, Bud -

Glad you are still working through - all looking good so far - I reckon this one (WNW) is going to be a show stopper when complete.

Regards

Dave

Thanks so much, guys and gal!  Still churning away on the WNW kit's preshading.  I'm hoping to paint in a few days.
Cheers,
Bud

Pretty much finished with the pre-shading on both.  Just a bit more on the big'n, then first coat of paint later today.  Just to alleviate the tedium of all that masking and shading, I worked on the big Vickers a bit.  I bought the Gaspatch guns but discovered that they don't fit as well as the WNW guns, so I decided to use the WNW breach with the Gaspatch barrel/jacket.

Cheers,
Bud
