Thanks, Patrick and Rick!  The rib tapes look much better under a coat of paint.  I still have a long way to go before the wings are finished.  This is just like doing German loz and rib tapes, only there are three wings instead of two.  I guess the Albatros Dr.I might be a little more challenging.
Cheers,
Bud

Well, thank you, Sir Dave!  High praise coming from a true star of an Academy Award winning film.  By the way, you've got me sorely tempted to order the DH9.  Yours is brilliant.
Cheers,
Bud

Thanks, Ed!  Tedious, but in the long run worth it, I think.
Cheers,

Hello Bud:

Nice work on the wings.  I agree with the rest here that the effort will pay off when you give it the final "CM" touch.  Looking forward to following along.

Thanks, buddy!  I think if it weren't for all the work going into improving the Eduard kit, I'd have the WNW Tripe close to completion.  I've no one to blame but myself.
Cheers,
Bud

Sorry to have been remiss in my updates, guys. :-[ Been working steadily on these two, but it's been slow with really very little to show for it.  I can offer this, however.  Again, to bring the Eduard kit up to par, I added stitching on the side of the fuselage.

I've also commited to a scheme for the little guy.  Needs some touch-up and weathering, but in due course.

I have the WNW engine almost wired and both are primed for preshading.  Photos soon, I hope.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello Bud,

Magnificent work on the cowling. It's so nice to see them together like mother and child. Well done my friend. Keep up the wonderful work!

Kind regards

Looking great Bud, it must be very interesting to compare both types of kit as you go along?

I'm pleased to see you have painted the WNW cabane strut brackets before further assembly - did you paint these before the cockpit was assembled too?  It is a much trickier job after assembly, believe me!

Did you shade to make those rudder ribs/frame stand out, or is that a natural effect we can see due to the profile of the surface?  Either way the rudder looks just the part...

Terrific paint-work, Bud!  The tail of the little one is super, but I find the
metal treatment on the big brother superb.  It would be a very tedious job,
but you have pulled it off beautifully!  Good work stitching the little guy as well.
I look forward to your next updates, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
