Des:

Your craftsmanship is superb and without equal.  You have also really nailed the colors and subtle shading on all materials.

Looks fantastic! ;D

Cheers,

Bob

I wholly agree that this machine looks ever more extraordinary with each new element added. How did these things ever fly?
The modelling is beyond words - but that is now well established. I am having problems working out which photos are of the full sized replica and which are of the model.

The bottom wing has now been fixed and some rigging fitted to add some more stability. The top wing is only sitting in position for photo purposes, I still need to add the ribs which will be 1.0mm half round styrene strips. The top wing is made up of two layers of 1.0mm styrene sheet glued together then shaped around an aerosol can.

I think the profile, tone & shading of the tail in this last shot is immensely impressive. As is all the build but some aspects bring it home even more.

Russell

I can only echo the comments of others....
The more this build progresses the more it reminds me of something out of the '70's kids' cartoon "Catch that Pigeon" with all those weird and wonderful flying machines....

Strange looking bird, Des, but absolutely fascinating seeing it come together.
