Truly magnificent work Dan, and lots of great info for a mainly plastic Guy as well. Enjoyable, fascinating, and very impressive Log to follow.
Cheers,
Lance

It's hard to find adequate words to convey how impressive I find this build, Dan.  Not just in its own right, but also in helping me make sense of things in my own preferred scale.

Best wishes
Nigel

Dan, if it's not too much trouble, could you please show a picture of what your shop looks like? I'm interested to see you lathe, mill, and all the other tooling you're using for the build.

Thanks,

Lindsay

In the midst of the pump cylinder, should be metal piston with leather seal  ;D

this new photo you posted of an se5a with the different seat ,to me this seat was added after ww1. the seatbelt definately is post ww1. some se5a were used as trainers and even used by performers in the 1920s at an air show. these were fitted like your photo with later seatbelts and i assume the seat was made more comfortable. maybe the pump too. this i dont know for sure. one thing i must say you have excellent craftsmanship skills. very nice replica sir.
