Great Recovery RO:  It is what I would have recommended.  When you give the model a final dull coat, you can put a drop of Sand color or something similar, and help blend the area in.  I think it turned out real well, plus you didn't bugger up any of the decals.

Best

Hi friends,
thank you all for the help, tips and positive replies. At first moment I had the idea to put it away and take another model from the stash, after all your advices it was clear to keep on with this one. That was a very nice experience keeping on due to the forum.
I continued working on the tail and get a start on rigging. The pics are only taken by smartphone, after the accident I have to think about the lighting during the photo sessions.
greetings ro

I am glad you were inspired to continue, I have been in the same position many times! Your tail rigging looks great!

Ro, I am so pleased that you did not give up - you have made a first class repair that a blind man would like to see. It reflects you very high levels of skill that you have done such a good job: it matches the rest of the model which is also of a very high standard.

It is good to know that there is such a supportive network on fellow modellers on this site - they can be inspirational in very many ways.
