Hi friends,
last days I was able to get some progress on the Bristol done. The fuselage is nearly finished, still have to do the weapon parts for the rear gunner. Then I worked on the tail skid and finished some rigging on the tail. The underwing was placed on the struts followed by the landing gear which not fitted right, one of the legs broke due to the tension. I think the problem are the struts which were not 100% aligned. In the end it's okay but I could have done better. Hopefully there are not to many problems when placing the upperwing. The wheels are only dry fitted and still have to get some weathering.

It was only when I flicked back through the thread that I remembered the accident affecting the upper rear fuselage and it's testimony to the quality of your repair that there's no sign of it.

It may seem daft but I got a great thrill when I had the lower wing secured to the fuselage by those four little struts. If you've got that alignment right then it will make upper wing placement immeasurably easier. Take your time and have your favourite tipple near at hand. Boringly, in a country of great wines and only a couple of hours from the town of Cognac, I settled for a cup of Earl Grey tea!

The Brisfit is looking wonderful, Ro!  You really have an amazing model
in the works.  Great job on the tail skid.  It looks perfect.  Despite the
undercarriage troubles, you are excelling.  I am anxious to see the next
updates.
