Hello RO. Isn't this coming on a treat, notwithstanding the problems you mention with the landing gear?
It was only when I flicked back through the thread that I remembered the accident affecting the upper rear fuselage and it's testimony to the quality of your repair that there's no sign of it.
It may seem daft but I got a great thrill when I had the lower wing secured to the fuselage by those four little struts. If you've got that alignment right then it will make upper wing placement immeasurably easier. Take your time and have your favourite tipple near at hand. Boringly, in a country of great wines and only a couple of hours from the town of Cognac, I settled for a cup of Earl Grey tea!
