first attempt WNW DH.2
« on: October 28, 2013, 09:33:32 AM »
well here goes, my first attempt, I picked the  WNW DH.2 , because I liked the box art,
not knowing how hard it would be,
please feel free to comment, good or bad, and offer any advise, pointers, ect
thanks
Dave

the line ive used is a bit thick, so ive taken it off and ordered some Ez-line 0.15,

For your first attempt you are certainly doing a fantastic job, I'm really looking forward to seeing what progress you make next, keep up the excellent work. As far as the line goes for this scale around 0.12mm is fine.

Hi, Firefox. It is great to see you start seriously with DH2. However, if you wish for a more detailed insight, try to show larger images. This one, soooo small, though quite attractive seemingly, is like looking through the wrong end of binoculars. I can only say, that the rigging material seems indeed too thick. Try using a fishing line, 0.12mm or 0.15 mm should be fine.

Hi Dave,

Although the picture is small, your cockpit seems to be very well done. Keep it up, you are surrounded by very kind and skilled people on this forum. I was helped quite a lot too.

Kind regards

Patrick

I`ve got a huge sentiment for the DH2 since it`s been my first "serious" attempt on the WWI subject. Not an easy model indeed but if you manage not to get crazy when the rigging comes, almost every other model will be a piece of cake!  ;)
It all looks nice and clean - good job!
Best regards
Filip

  Dave,
Outstanding first progress my friend. Judging from your work so far ,this may be your first WWI project but certainly not your first modeling efforts. Keep up the great work. I'm interested in following your progress so I'll be looking forward to your next update.

No, it is my first real attempt at this, like most of us ive had a go building bits and bobs, but nothing to serious,  I do happen to be a Design technology Teacher, but generally spend most of my time teaching or helping then build Secondary school projects, or even drawing them up in CAD but as I am unable to undertake my main hobby I decided to have a go as they say,
