Well done, Ernie. It's really satisfying getting the undercarriage rigged to find how much strength it gives to the structure, eh?
Looking forward to the final update.
Lindsay
Thanks for the support, Lindsay. You are right about the rigging adding a surprising amount
of strength to the plane.
So here we are at the end of the line. This is the final update, my friends.
I added a mirror that I scratched together. It's just aluminum foil cemented to a thin
plastic disk. The rim is a HGW bezel. I didn't have anything to tell me where to mount it,
so I made an educated guess and put it on the edge of the upper wing, centred over the
windscreen.

My dilemma to do with the wrecked lower wing decals has been solved. I had some decals
from a Eduard 1/72 Nieuport 17 kit available. It dawned on me that the large decals for the
teeny scale would not be far off for the small markings needed for my 1/32 Nieuport.

I applied them and they don't look too bad.

About the only other thing I did was to sirty up the wheels and undercarriage a little
with some Tamiya weathering powders. Unfortunately I couldn't get a photo that shows
it properly.
So that's about it, mes amis. I will be posting my final photos in the completed section
tomorrow. Thank you everyone for following along and providing such welcomed support.
It has been very much appreciated!

Cheers,
Ernie
