RAGIII,

Coming along nicely - good kit from Roden, this one.  How do you plan on doing the rigging?

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave! I appreciate your comment. The rigging will be my standard, Monofilament Fly fishing Leader. I have thoughts of using some of the Turnbuckles from part.... We shall see. The holes are already drilled in all locations.

The silly putty worked a treat, Rick.  Your camoflage looks
first rate.  Looking forward to the next update.  Keep up
the great work.

Cheers,
Ernie  :)

Thanks Ernie. Yes, the Silly Putty really is an EASY masking medium for hard line camo. I stop my Airbrush down like I am going to paint a free hand soft edge. This actually allows  great control and there is actually hardly any paint on the putty in the end! I finished yesterdays session with the undersurface being painted. I am now working 7 out of 8 days so may be a while before any more progress shots are available  :(

  Rick,
Now that's first rate camouflage painting my old friend. I'll have to give the silly putty masking a try. Guess I'll see if our Granddaughter Lillie has any to spare.

Thanks Gregory, your comments are appreciated! In my house my Granddaughter knows that Grandpa has cool toys and she gets to play with some of the stuff occasionally, like silly putty  ;)

Excellent camo Rick, the colours are superb and the application is spot on, well done, this is starting to look very special.

Here is what will be the last update this week as I work 4 days in a row now. I have added the pastels for the rib tape effect on the lower wing surfaces.

Rick, your paint and rib shading looks first rate!  I really like your colors and paintwork.  This is shaping up into a beautiful representation of a graceful aeroplane. ;D  I will use your log as a guide when I get around to my own Ni. 28.  Thanks!

Bob
