And so the PayPal deed is done. In the end it had to be the C.II. How could I resist the earlier war option, especially when one of the options has a Lewis gun added in real Heath Robinson style?

Best wishes

Yes that's what I thought too Nigel. Have you had a look at the period photos of the two Rolands over at the WNW site? The size & quality of the photos is outstanding, and most previously unpublished. Sir Peter Jackson's collection is mind boggling  :o

Hi James

Yes, earlier this morning when I got fed up writing feedback for students!  As you say the quality is outstanding and we are lucky that Sir PJ has made so many accessible in this way.

Best wishes
Nigel

;D  Resist the urge, Bo.  You will be giving WnW an inferior complex. ;) ;D

My latest acquisitions;

Pegasus 1/72

Albatross DI/DII
Albatross DIII German+OAW
Albatross DIII OEF
Halbestadt DII
Bristol F2B

They all look fantastic and really put some of my other kits to shame!
Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
Churchill: Madam, you are ugly. In the morning, I shall be sober!

Nancy Astor: Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.
Churchill: If I were your husband I would take it.

The Biff is entirely Mr. Delatorre's fault.  He has repeatedly stated that it remains WNW's best kit.  I have to say, after examining the contents of the box, he might be right.  Thanks, Des!
The books were a buck a piece from Paladin Press.  They were close-out items, but in perfect condition.

Bud, you will not be disappointed with the Biff, a brilliant kit and Wingnuts best, the engine is a model on it's own.

I took advantage of the offer by Jason at Drill Bits Unlimited and received the parcel today, 50 each of 0.3mm - 0.4mm and 0.5mm. I will be placing another order next week for some larger sizes.

I just ordered the same 3 as RagIII; great deal but do they ever "whack" you on the postage and handling. $3 for 3 books, $19 to get them here! ::)

I ordered the drill bits for which Des was so kind to obtain a good price. 50 0.3mm and 50 0.4mm and a pin vice. Price 48.86$. Postage costs : 23.24$ Then the Belgian State interfered : 32.28$ taxes and handling. Very hard for us to buy outside the European Community. Anyway Des, it is great stuff, thank you again!

Kind regards
Patrick

These just arrived. I've only leafed through them quickly, they look really GOOD. There's endless photos in both, many I have not seen before.  Lots of great coverage on the Roland CII's for those going down that trail.
Prices on Amazon were very reasonable however the Postage is the killer as usual.
Cheers,
Lance

True, the shipping is high but all in all I got the 3 I wanted, plus a 4th that I was only mildly interested in. I also screwed up and didn't clear the Cart and ended up with 2 extra VC books plus one extra Sikorsky title. All 7 for $22.00 including shipping. As the average cost per book should be @ $20.00 I think the postage was OK in the end. I figure I will hold on to my extras and sell them cheap but for more than $1.00 someday... or trade for decals or something  ;D

I also recently purchased the Roland and Pfalz books. Very nice books. Got them through Amazon with a gift card my GF gave me for Christmas. Nice girl bless her heart!
