Halberstadt CLII Early + "stipple" decals from Aviattic.  I was able to get the Halb. at the original WNW price which was great.

I just ordered Pheon's Voss Sheet and the SE.5a Night Fighter one I missed on it's first release. Great line of products.

When this kit first came out I really wanted one , but the price was on the high side so I waited and waited and by chance while online I followed a link which took me to a shop here in Canada , checking out what they on had on sale ...well they had this !

A buddy recently built one. He had only good to say about the kit. Both fit and detail are top of the line according to him. His only issue was having to add weight to the nose and two booms in order to get it to sit on the tricycle landing gear I found it a bit expensive and settled for their 1/72 IL-2. That kit also looks great as far as I can tell by eyeballing the sprues.

I have heard nothing but positive feedback on this kit and it is WOW ! I have Hasegawa's P-38J with Eduards Big Ed Set , resin and brass barrels and it still doesn't come close to this kit . Yes it is a pricey kit for the scale . If it wasn't on sale I would have passed .

Weights are included in the kit , 3 really big ball bearings .

I told my wife MBK still had some WNW kits, so she asked me if there was any I liked for my birthday. She thought the RE8 Duellist a bit too expensive, but there were a few Halberstadt Earlies left so I went for that one, some extra supplies I needed anyway (CA, filler, Mr Surfacer etc) and a WNW Jasta 18 sheet I'd been doubting about and got now rounded out the free shipping. I was seriously in doubt as I also would like another DFW Mid, but eventually went for the Halberstadt (next morning those were all gone!)

I quickly went through the box to check if it was all there and undamaged (the box looked a bit scruffy). Looks great, and not very big either! :)

I don't have the opportunity to post here that often but today was a Good Day! I picked uo the Pheon Camel Aces sheet at the PO that arrived Friday and when I checked My Mail Box at Home the Aviattic Fokker DR1 PE was in the box!

Nothing too exciting here, but i've completed a couple of 'sets' for the collection - I now have the full 'set' of the old Vintage Aircraft Airfix WW1 kits, and the Dragon / DML "Knights of the Sky" kits.

As I said, nothing exciting for you, but nice for me to have the 'sets' :)
