My latest, received as a review sample (for another site). A truly excellent kit, and one that I'd like to build one day, assuming I live long enough. The reality is that I'll probably never build it.

......... and I'll double up the endorsements of the Kit, it's one of their best. It goes without saying that you should build it AND in "Collie's" colors, he is one of my top three favorite heroes of the era!

I received a special kit in the mail today.  A guy was selling a batch of vintage Aurora kits on a Facebook modeling buy/sell page at decent prices and I couldn't resist this one.  I built one as a young kid  and it was my first biplane.  I don't remember specifics but I recall it being challenging for a young, inexperienced modeler and it left a lasting impression as I'll never forget that box art.  This one appears to still be in its original cello-wrap and for the time being, it will remain as is, on display in my workshop.  :D

Cheers,
Eric

Wow Eric, that is a real "find"! I built it too in 60 or 61 as a teenager about to graduate from High School and on my way to join the RCAF. As you can see from my posts it started a fascination with the between the wars subjects and particularly the Yellow Wings Era of U.S. Naval Aviation. I'm not sure I'd break that cellophane wrap either!

Lance

My review showed it to be a truly excellent kit, as one might expect, it's just that the Triplane is really not my bag. I may just trade it off.

That being said I haven't been purchasing a lot since I retired. (Have to watch the Funds) I did make a Really Good Deal with My Old Friend Ira Campbell. Two Hobby Craft SPAD XIIIs', and he sent a Pegaso figure sculpted by Mike Good as an extra. $55.00, less than I have seen one SPAD go for on Evil Bay  8)

Today my postie brought the prize David sent out. I've never taken the time to figure how to load pictures (not building lessens the pressure to learn) but I'm all sure you know the Roden 1/32 Siemens Schuckert. Along with this was a stirrer-erer and an LED magnifier. Thank you David for this, considering me even eligible, Des for starting the whole thing and the forum members for their ALWAYS welcoming nature. This is a great place to be.

Congrats Steve!
May the magnifier help with the finer details on the Roden Siemens Schuckert.
Enjoy!

P.S. Nice snatch, Rick!  ;)
