Thought I had better check up on this one and I'm glad I did, it is looking absolutely beautiful Bob, the scheme you are using is extremely eye catching.

Thanks guys!

Bob's Buckles! It's got my name on it!  :D

Pfalz DIIIa nearly complete. Rigging, mild weathering and final touches will see the old girl complete.

Oh my, von Buckle She's looking mighty fine and more! Beautiful clean finish. Have you got the final sealer coat on and if so what did you use?

Hi Lance,
Thanks for your kind comments  ;)

I have yet to give the model a final clear coat. I will do this once the mild weathering has been applied... very mild!
The semi-gloss finish you see from the images was achieved by brush painting (5mm flat head sable brush) Johnson's Klear. I always use klear as a barrier for the weathering stage + it does a good job of hardening the 'soft' Games Workshop homebrew Silber Grau  :D

Cheers!

Bob great work but me, Sherman and Mr Peabody want to jump in the way back machine (Look up the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show for those not familiar with that reference)  to a few pages ago - What psi do you spray your GWS paints at? Also - the Tam thinner is the way to go as opposed to 99% isoprop?

Hi Steve,
I thin the paint with Tamiya thinner and spray thin coats @ around 15psi. I also keep a tamiya soaked Q-tip close by  for cleaning the needle tip as I go.

Cheers!

Thanks Bob. My Citadel spraying attempts have failed miserably so I will pick up the Tam thinner that I have always avoided.
