I cut very thin strips of Tamiya tape for the lagging. The thinner the cuts the easier it is to wrap around the inlets.

Hello friends 

This build has been and continues to be a breath of fresh air. No fussing, no worrying, no stressing, just good clean fun!
The level of detail in this kit (aftermarket stuff aside) is superb. I love it!!

All closed up. Bowden cables fitted, identification plates on the engine lump...Not sure why I bothered, you need Hubbell to see them 
Exhaust hanging on with tamiya tape.

I know how you feel - I recently got a 1/144th Me262 which I built and finished in an afternoon - it was liberating! It was like being 8 again..

   I assume the rigging will include von Buckle's Buckles............or are we in danger of a dwindling inventory............hopefully not! The Buckle factory is still open and orders are still hitting the virtual mat.

Hello Bob:

I am just catching up a bit, and am enjoying following your build thread.  Your engine really looks the business!  Wires not withstanding!  I think sometimes we get so wrapped around the axle on sub assemblies that we forget how it will look in the whole and a lot of times, depending on the builder of course, the extra work just can't be seen.  I like the wheels; a nice vintage touch which can be seen.
Looking forward to seeing it come together.
Wouldn't it be sacrelige to not use your buckles?
