Hi friends,
now we're entering the final phase. The wings are assembled, which was the easiest and quickest wing assembly so far. Everything fit right away without a jig.

 

 

 

 

The tail unit was lightened up a bit more.

 

Now it's time to assemble the control cables. The kit includes turnbuckles for this purpose. The tubing are cotton buds (made of plastic) stretched over a candle. The core is a very thin steel wire, so that everything has the same thickness.

Awesome to see this coming together so nicely, Joerg. Great job!

Just in case someone might think Joerg may not have aligned the port cross properly.
Here is a section of a rare picture, which shows OAW crosses on Leusch were further outboard, and a replacement port aileron (with cross in the regular position) also featuring some repair work. The dragon is in the detail

Now all that remains is to attach the remaining control cables and the wheels.

 

 

 

 

 


And then the rear-view mirror still needs to be fitted. For the mirror effect, I used liquid chrome for the first time, which actually reflects the surroundings.

Your work, particularly your painting and weathering is nothing short of mind blowing!  I don't and probably won't get this particular kit but I will try to replicate some of what you've done on my WnW version.
