malula I was wondering about the Pfalz too.  E-type? D.III? D.IIIa? or some other Pflaz?

Warren
Well, talking about Pfalz aircraft I would go for the DIII as the most popular concerning its sleek Design...

That would make me very happy, but what will I do with my stash of Roden Pfalzs' then?  ;) ::)

Warren
Haha same for me here,Warren, not to forget all their wonderful Albatros D.III versions in my stashpile :P

Yes, I think I have two, and a couple of D.I's/II's, and I seriously doubt we'll get one of those from Eduard, but you never know.

Hi all, I reached out to Jan Bobek at Eduard and asked about the moulding and marking options. His response (posted with his permission) is -

"I did my best to provide all Albatros D.III markings and photos from my library, so there is large work-in-progress long list in hands of Product Manager, but final markings are not selected yet.

The moulds are being prepared by Nastrojarna (toolshop) Vandělik, but some inserts are tooled by our toolshop. Vandělik family is based East of Prague and they cooperate with us 20 years. For instance mould for 1/48 Albatros D.V is done by them too. If you search name Vandělik in search bar of info magazine, you will see we are talking about them. It is toolshop run by wife-husband team. Mrs. Vandělikova is lovely lady, one of hidden roses of Czech plastic industry.

This is FB page of toolshop Vanděl?k https://www.facebook.com/nastrojarnavandelik/

I am sure they will be Happy about couple of new fans!"

So if the old 1/48 Albatros DV moulds are anything to go by, we should get a crisp, clean product, I would think.

On Special Hobby and Pfalz's, I have also heard nothing, so would welcome any additional information on that topic if someone has any?

Cheers!

Jan Bobek replied to my query on Hyperscale website about the release of this project:

?The moulds for this project are being prepared in cooperation with a long-term external partner. The kit is currently scheduled for release in winter 2025/26. ?

At least it?s still in the works!

I'm glad it's still in process! On the other hand, other releases by other 1/72nd scale manufacturers such as Arma Hobby, etc. have severely fatigued my wallet and forced it into clinical depression, at least it can get a rest for a bit.  ;) ;) ;)
