I had to double check the scale Przemo! Brilliant build!

The thin veneers I used (the same as in my Fokker D.VII) do not have a uniform dark layer hue, just the dark borders with bright inside, so I used a brown pencil to fill the pattern.
Are you saying this is a before and after? Your pencil shading/colour-matching is spot on, wow!!

Thank you everyone

Prze!  That rig is brilliant!  However, I'm wondering if I can cut cardboard accurately enough to do this. (I need a 2 degree dihedral for my Flashback Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutters.

Warren

That is not so difficult. I glue the scan of scale drawings to the cardboard and then cut it with ordinary scissors.

Yes, that is what I meant  :)

Progress of the recent days. Propeller almost done, fuselage wood done, white background for Aviattic losenge, too. And the losenge shapes traced with some self-made templates.

Super work, I really like the way you did the wood on the fuselage. Looking forward to seeing this with the decals done.....

Thanks, Nigel.

The lower surfaces losenge-ed. The upper ones underway. Then for the blue stripes.

Beautiful Lozenge work Prze. I’m liking your wood tones as well.  This will be a stunning model when completed.

Your wood-graining is simply superb! I'm trying to get a handle on that now was well.
Did you decide on blue rib tapes for a particular reason, or was it a toss up and blue won out over pink?

I can only repeat what Warren and Tim and Nigel have said... this is a stunning work-in-progress, a world-class model.

IMHO there are some hints favouring blue over pink or losenge tapes. In the photo from the book by Kabatek and Kulczyński on "OAW aircraft in Polish Aviation", of which a rather poor copy I showed at the beginning of this thread, the stripes over the lower wing and the tailplane ribs seem to be uniform and brighter than the losenge - my understanding is that blue shows up brighter than pink in black-and-white photos. Besides the colour drawing in the same book also indicates blue stripes.  :)

Thanks Prze, that makes sense as blue does tend to wash out a great deal on orthochromatic film.

Losenge is done.
The first  tests with Eduard stripes, too. Note that the ones on the lower side will need extensions
